synopsis
Endless, Nameless is a hand-processed Super 8 film, shot in the private garden of a Thai army officer. The film reconstructs the filmmaker’s memories about groups of conscripts who worked in his father’s garden. The film was created as a self-hypnosis to reinvestigate his existence.
about the director
Pathompon ‘Mont’ Tesprateep was born in Bangkok. He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts in London. Since 2014, Mont has been working on an ongoing series of hand-processed 16mm and Super 8 films, including Endless, Nameless (2014), Song X (2017), Confusion Is Next (2018), Pleng-Krom-Dek (Lullaby) (2019), and Fatimah & Kulit (2019). His works have been shown at film festivals and exhibitions, including the Locarno Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, BFI London Film Festival, Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival, Les Rencontres Internationales, Curtas Vila do Conde, Media City Film Festival, ARKIPEL (Jakarta), WNDX Festival of Moving Image, and others. Mont is currently developing his first feature film project, Tremble Like A Flower, which received script and project development funding from the Hubert Bals Fund.
