The last wish of an old Afghan man is to give his “elephant-bird” (turkey) to his grandchild, but this simple wish is hard to realize.
about the director
Amir Masoud Soheili is an award-winning Iranian short filmmaker, festival director, and programmer. Born in 1988 in Mashhad, he studied cinema in Indonesia and South Korea. His short film Blue Eyed Boy (2014) won 20 awards at over 140 international film festivals, making him one of the most recognized Iranian short filmmakers of 2015.
He has served on juries at festivals including Jogja-NETPAC, Viddsee Juree (Indonesia), Avanca (Portugal), SAARC (Sri Lanka), IDSFFK (India), and Malatya (Turkey). He is co-founder and creative director of the Asia Peace Film Festival (Pakistan), programmer at Changing Perspectives International Film Festival (Turkey), and was festival director of the inaugural Safe Community Film Festival in Iran.
