Death to the Sound Man
by Sorayos Prapapan
Thailand, 2017
synopsis
Two sound recordists are working on the final mix of a short film. They are precise, patient and concentrated, but will their efforts ever be acknowledged? Death of the Sound Man is at once a spotlight on the careful craft of a Foley artist and an implicit critique of the common man’s voice being heard in Thailand.
