Gracias a la democratización de los recursos de producción y de los canales de comunicación digital, nuevas voces están contribuyendo a un cine en América Latina que desafía las estructuras hegemónicas, critica la mirada colonizadora y produce nuevas narrativas propuestas por mujeres, indígenas, negros, mestizos, queer, diaspóricos, entre otros. A pesar de la inmensidad del contenido de las películas, se puede encontrar una profunda humanidad en la resistencia de estas naciones.
En esta colección, damos protagonismo a nuevas voces que se expresan libremente y se convierten en sujeto de sus propias imágenes, al tiempo que exploramos distintas formas de pensar las experiencias latinoamericanas. Sueños e intimidades chocan a menudo con la violencia, el abandono o las imposiciones, pero comparten el inquebrantable deseo de un futuro mejor.
